Church Training Programs
A series of Church Ministry Training Programs, with appropriate support that will allow a church to provide a series of personal ministry opportunities to its congregants that will allow them to effectively minister to fellow congregants, as well as individual in the community. Each succeeding program builds on the previous program and provides ever deeper levels of ministry to the body, soul and spirit of the individual.
Each of these programs is based on Ephesians 4:10-13 “And the One who climbed down is the One who climbed back up, up to highest heaven. He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, 11 filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher 12 to train Christians in skilled servant work, working within Christ's body, the church, 13 until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.” (MSG)
Everywhere we go we find that Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Home Group Leaders, and congregants alike, are overwhelmed with the needs of the hurting around them, and find themselves in a place of having to choose who gets their time, when all deserve it. There are too many issues among which to time-share scarce resources. And the needs seem to get more and more dire every day. Let’s face it, the societal ills of my generation have little in common with what we’re experiencing today. Just the amount of sexual abuse that is surfacing today is almost overwhelming all by itself.
The other thing that we find is that most Christians do not feel competent to help someone else because they feel that they have not been properly trained. Most of our training has indeed be ineffective because it did not recognize the fact that individuals can absorb knowledge and take a test to prove that they have memorized the information. But because they were never put in a safe place to practice it, they have no personal confidence that they can actually do what they’ve been trained to do.
What is required to meet the needs of ministry in the local church is a trained cadre of competent and confident lay ministers (volunteers) who are able to share the load. That’s the essence of the Ephesians 4:11-16 passage; providing the ministry tools that you can hand to trusted lay men and women and equip them to do the work of the ministry. That is precisely what the following programs are designed and dedicated to providing.
Because these “programs” can be obtained and entered into individually, a church may chose to engage slowly, by doing a Spiritual Cleansing Weekend, adding another module six months later, or may chose to build a entire lay ministry program over a period of a year by engaging in all of them. A church can customize its approach to building effective lay ministry programs by selecting from all the available alternatives to meet their specific needs.
Healing Rooms
Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. “Healing Rooms is a church based, lay led ministry which provides a safe environment for personal prayer for the healing of physical illness, trauma and injury. This is a major opportunity for meeting congregational needs which, in this environment, normally does not regularly require direct clergy attention. It readily lends it itself to building community by having members of the community of faith attend to those in need. It is very effective in not only strengthening the community but provides an effective avenue of outreach to the surrounding area. This ministry provides a venue for individual members to encourage each other from a position of faith in a time of need. This is one of the most practical expressions of the love of the Lord we can experience personally.
We have found that healing rooms operating in the local church have ushered in a renewed faith in God that has brought precious life to the body and has resulted in an increase in the level of emotional, as well as physical well being, of the total body. The availability of Healing Rooms has also complimented and helped under-gird the strength and vitality of all the other ministries offered by the church to the community.
It is our belief that every church ought to have its own Healing Room ministering to the sick in their local area, above and beyond post-service prayer for the sick on Sunday or special healing services. The church ought to be the recognized source of healing in community because we are in vital relationship with The Healer himself. Unfortunately, that reputation is not well established in every congregation. We would like to offer you help in establishing your own Healing Rooms.
There are also a number of Healing Rooms which operate in the most populated areas of the cities they serve, rather than from the church building itself. These rooms have been established in areas away from the church building and characteristically have an undeniable vision for the city. They are typically located in strip shopping centers in densely populated areas of town close to the working poor; ie.; folks who have a regular job, but whose income will not allow them to obtain health insurance. Statistically, this will be roughly 22%, or more, of the populace, depending upon the area of town.
There are several models to choose from dependent upon your denominational affiliation or specific belief system.
Healing Room Prayer Minister Training
Upgrading the training of Healing Room prayer ministers is always a top priority. The need is to help them to be able to repond to as wide a range of problems and situations that members of the community could present. As we have worked in and operated Healing Rooms over the past 7 1/2 years we have come across and developed a number of tools that have proven very helpful in setting people free. These tools can be taught and practiced over a Friday evening and Saturday time frame.
The tools include;
1. Ministry to The Human Spirit; Although this technique of ministry is primarily applicable to inner (emotional & spiritual) healing, it can be very effective in instances of prolonged illness where has the sufferer has not been able to follow the advice you give them, rise up and take authority, or rebuke attacks, or where there is no demonstrated capacity to sustain healing accomplished in the soul.
2. Dealing with Trauma and Its Affects; Often times we find that sufferers of some physical difficulty have experienced significant emotional and/or physical trauma at some point in their lives. The affects of trauma have left people with all manner of difficulties; disturbed sleep patterns, terifiyng dreams, panic and fear, unexplained physical problems. There is a very simply way to take care of them.
3. Generational Deliverance; We exclusively use Paul Cox's material to walk an individual through breaking generational sin and curses off of a family line. This relies solely on the Holy Spirit to help us determine what happened and when that was opened the door in a family for specific generational curses to be activated.
4. The Human Body as a Prophetic Telegraph (client); If you have worked in the healing rooms for very long at all, you will have come to the conclusion that approximately, 85% of all physical illnesses have their root in either emotional or physical issues. One of the tools the Holy Spirit has taught me, and which has been very effective in enabling me to minister to people with physical symptoms is interpreting their symptoms prophetically. The physical symptoms of the client can prophetically help you zero in on the root of a person's issue.
5. The Human Body as a Prophetic Telegraph (prayer minister); Another of the languages of the Holy Spirit has taught me which has been very effective in enabling me to minister to people with physical and/or emotional symptoms is interpreting the sensations/pains He (H.S.) gives you with-in your own body. For instance, what does a stiff neck mean to you? To me it is the affects of witchcraft prayers.

Personal Cleansing Seminar & Workshop
The Personal Cleansing Seminar/Workshop is largely based on Elijah House principals and rapidly provides a basis for discipleship which heightens general spiritual maturity and provides an opportunity to methodically clean out the spiritual closet. It has been used very effectively in a retreat format for those who have a desire to get closer to God.
During this seminar attendees will learn about and receive individual ministry concerning such topics as;

Providing this seminar is the perfect way to initiate a ministry within your church or organization by cleaning out the spiritual closet and bringing an end to the junk that has been historically problematic and that has kept many from entering into relationships at a level of intimacy that’s the desire of a lifetime. This seminar is highly interactive in nature and as a result, allows for investigation of each individual’s specific issues. During the course of the presentation participants are given ample opportunity to deal with each subject in depth.
Spiritual Cleansing Weekend seminars and workshops typically begin on Friday evening about 7:00 PM, and resumes Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. Dependent upon the amount of prayer ministry conducted at the conclusion of each segment, the session will conclude between 4 and 4:30 PM, with an hour for lunch. You may choose to provide lunch, if dining opportunities are not readily available. It includes a complete manual containing all the teaching and session handouts that help deal with each individual issue.

Healing Emotional Wounds
Elijah House Principles Based Healing;
Our Spiritual Cleansing Weekend Seminar is the basis for emotional healing because it lays the foundation for determining the bulk of what is deficient in the life of a believer, and non-believer, and is generally at the root of the bulk of most personal problems. Understand that this is not Elijah House training itself, which can be obtained directly from Elijah House Ministries, but is a rehearsal of the most significant principles that are fundamental to living a life free of soul-ish encumberments.
What we provide is a training session which both describes each principle, with insight that is born of 20 years of experience in determining which of these principles an individual has violated, how to decipher it, then detailing how to deal with it. A portion of this seminar is devoted to understanding how to interview an individual and then operate in discernment to determine how to proceed for complete healing.
If you are interested in establishing a healing room, you will in time come to the same conclusion that every other healing room director has; 85% of the physical ailments that people come in for prayer for have their root in an unresolved emotional or spiritual issue. So in order to practice physical healing effectively, you will at some point or another have to delve into how to put that portion of the house back in order before the physical portion can be sustain over any significant length of time.

Sozo ; A Comprehensive Set of Inner Healing Tools
Sozo is a Greek word often translated in the New testament as, “salvation”, meaning to “save, heal and deliver”. Jesus came to Sozo people. 1John 4:17 states, “… as he (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.”
Over the course of several years, a ministry tool has been assembled that allows lay ministers to easily and effectively help others be “Sozo’ed”, or “saved, healed and delivered.” It began at Bethel Church in Redding, CA and has been significantly augmented by members of Grace Center, Franklin, TN.
We have taught this set of ministry tools to over 1,500 people now and have found them to be the easiest to learn and practice, as well as the easiest and most effective tools to teach and impart to lay individuals who have no counseling or inner healing background.
For those who have entered the Sozo “ministry lifestyle", the reports have been astounding. Every participant has stated that it has dramatically changed their own lives, by allowing them to participate with God in seeing people healed right before their very eyes! Revelation has now come to the verse in Psalms 110:3a “Your people will volunteer people in the day of your power…” Those who have employed Sozo in behalf of others, have become addicted to participating with God as he heals them by his power.
Sozo is designed as a church-based, issue focused ministry and lifestyle of helping to heal individuals of the affects of wounding and sin; and of delivering people from the snares and the presence of the demonic through; finding past and present lies and points of access, removing them, and establishing healing, blessing and obedience in their place; and of restoring individuals to relationship with God and a more fruitful walk. It is a first line of defense and offense, working with God to help make someone more whole.
Sozo can best be thought of as a tool belt upon which various personal inner healing ministry tools and techniques are hung – it is the framework, complete with several unique tools. Each tool may be used independently or in concert with any of the others tools to meet any situation. The more tools we have at our disposal the more skilled we become at helping others. With a little experience, a Sozo conversation may be held in an office, a restaurant, around the lunch table, in church … anywhere … hence, it can easily become a natural part of an individual’s normal Christian lifestyle, which is the goal of Ephesians 4:10-14 “…For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” (KJV)
The entire collection of material can be taught in a weekend, typically a Friday evening and a full Saturday. The Sozo training class presentation includes a comprehensive 135+ page manual and includes numerous handouts. Although, we generally do not charge for the training, there is a charge for the manual because of the reproduction costs involved.
To reinforce the training, we have also found it effective to do a number of practice sessions in the week(s) following the initial presentation in order to allow each participant personal experience in applying each tool and gaining personal confidence in using it effectively. Healing Spirit Wounds
We have learned how to partner with God over the years to bring healing to individuals. As we have done so, the number of people we have encountered who have been abused, mistreated, tortured, rejected and abandoned has led us to marvel that there are not more axe murderers running around.
As we have worked with these individuals we noticed that were a group of them who could pray all the prayers, make all the right declarations, declare all the right truths and yet could only sustain some level of improvement for a couple of weeks. In those cases, there seemed to be no inner strength or structure resident so that true healing could be achieved and sustained. We found that some wounds go deeper than others. Some primarily affect the soul and can be healed relatively easily. Others affect the human spirit deeply and the healing techniques which worked well for soul wounding, when applied to the human spirit, do not work at all. There are some types of wounds which affect both soul and spirit requiring work to be done in each arena to affect complete healing.
In the last couple of years, the Lord has led us to a couple of techniques which have turned the tide rapidly; readily restoring health, strength and vitality to the spirit so that healing could be sustained permanently. These techniques are simple to convey, easy to learn, and easy to apply. They can usually be taught and demonstrated in a single six hour session. We do however, ask that those to whom it is presented have some background in emotional or inner healing so that the basic principles do not have to be taught in addition to the tools.
