Testimonies
8-17-10 ” Hi Guys, Just gotta tell you that I have been connected ever since you prayed for me. Now I know I’ve walked this walk long enough to know ya gotta walk it out. I understand. I don’t know if you get enough thanks for your sacrifices you daily give to the body but I want to add mine to your list and not take what you give for granted. When I read now the words come off the pages and register in my brain. When I can’t think of something it comes in a few seconds. You don’t know how huge those two things are. I am connected with what I’m doing. I’m not just doing something and mentally checked out and don’t know what I’ve just done. You don’t know how huge this is until you live it 39 yrs. I don’t freeze up when somebody asks me to get out of my box. Love you both, K”
5-29-10 “Thank you again for meeting with me yesterday- it was a gift from the Lord. I slept long and hard last night- it was the very best night that I have had in years. All is quiet, peaceful and calm, just the way it should be.” D.H.
5-10-10 ”How precious to have been in your teaching session today on Trauma. Thank you for asking if I would contact you with my testimony. It is with great pleasure and even greater praise to Our Great Physician that I can send you the following, as well as give you permission to use it.
at, It was wonderful to spend time with you a couple of weeks ago and reap the benefits of your ministry and a budding friendship. I wanted to write and tell you that I have seen core changes in R___ since his “encounter” with Jesus that serendipitous Monday morning. It is as if he has been given new eyes.
For 33 years of marriage, he has been timid, overly cautious, lives for the moment without much thought or vision for future planning (we have not a penny of retirement, insurance, even a vague plan for how we might support ourselves) It’s as if he was so afraid of the future, he couldn’t even pretend there would be one. He has had a very real death wish for years and, I think, has felt almost disappointed that he wasn’t allowed to check out of this world like his own father did at age 43 of a massive heart attack. I think he believed that genetics would be his ticket to rest and now, 14 years later, he’s still ticking and the demands are still weighing him down. He has never taken care of his health, using the rationale that “when it’s my time to go, I’ll go! He’s just waiting for the day he could leave this hard life and enter in to his eternal rest. He is actually one of the hardest working people I have ever seen and thankfully, has taught our children to face hard work without complaint. A great character trait to pass along and, sadly to say, one I don’t possess myself. But when it comes to himself, he was without hope and just wanted to die.
But that seems to be changing. Ever since he talked to Jesus that day, he has seemed lighter, more hopeful, even making some future plans, although not too far in the future. He took the trouble just yesterday to print off some flyers for his business, and he has not been one to take the initiative to market himself (probably because he believed he wasn’t worth marketing) I can see hope springing up in him in the way he is becoming more proactive in all areas. Relationships, church related things, his new business (his other business was shut down after years b/c of the economy…a huge kick in the stomach) I am certain that Jesus’ presence with him that day has changed him permanently. Now I’m looking forward to watching the tree’s new green leaves start to peek out and fill its branches, blossom and bear much fruit. Thank you for being the vinedressers whose hands have been used to bring new life. We are both grateful and trust that as we learn from the likes of you guys, we, too, will be used as God’s gardeners.” Miss L.
4-25-10 This is regarding a 2 year old who had tubes put in his ears and cried 24/7 for days afterward. Pat and Cherie prayed the Trauma Prayer Process over him … and here’s the rest of the story. “Hi Pat…I talked to EJ this morning and she said Isaac is sleeping like a baby:) —-no, I said that…she said that he wakes up to eat and goes right back to sleep! Yeah GOD!!!!!”
4-28-10 ” Dear Jim and Pat, Three of us who were at your teaching yesterday had a divine appointment today at our church prayer meeting. Can’t tell all, but I just had to let you know. A young woman who sometimes prays with us at church had another young woman come to ask for prayer. The new girl was gray-brown, hunched over, and pulled her hair over her face.
G. (was at your teaching) heard from the Lord, screwed up her courage, and asked the young woman if she’d been abused. The young woman crumpled, began a long list, and asked if she needed to go on. We said NO. G. had your teaching sheet with her. A. grabbed it and told G. to pray over the young woman. A. started, but I felt like I was supposed to do it, so I did. I mostly just read from the sheet, but added a few things as led. The Lord backed it all up.
When we got to the end, the woman’s face was totally different. She GLOWED. She was standing up straight, pushed her hair out of her face. G. told her to go look at herself in the bathroom mirror. The young woman was delighted by what she saw (she is a genuinely beautiful woman, cover-girl features, incredible eyes). She said she’d been told just that morning how bad she looked, but that was all dead history.
She got a word about her calling – she has songs in her to sing over physical places to cleanse and free the creation. Thank you, Pat, for your admonition to “Just do it”. I am taking you at your word.” Mary
